TRANSCRIPT: Rep. William Timmons

SCENE: Ahead of the last House vote of the week, Rep. William Timmons and Andy Ogles are walking through the underground tunnels connecting House Office Buildings to the US Capitol.

Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo proceeds to catch up with them just as they’re entering the quiet basement of the actual US Capitol fore hopping an elevator with them.

Matt Laslo: “Congratulations.”

William Timmons: “Thank you.”

ML: “You're now chair — I wrote it down…”

Laslo’s flipping through his notebook.

WT: “Military & Foreign Affairs.”

ML: “So when it comes to the UAP issue, do you think the restructuring of Oversight is gonna have any impact on that?”

ML: “This is where I'm intrigued on how you guys bifurcate this, cause when I heard FBI, DHS and DOJ testifying in front of Homeland [Security Committee] in, like, November [correction: December]…”

Timmons is shaking his head in disagreement.

WT: “I mean, I think there's different instances, but anyways…”

ML: “Do you — this new administration, what Trump said, just about…”

Elevator now packed with lawmakers and Laslo’s on back left side, opposite Timmons who’s now separated by a couple lawmakers from Ask a Pol.

ML: “The way Trump says he's gonna release all this stuff that the US government knows — do you think we'll get a resolution on the drone issue?”

WT: “We'll see.”
