Who?
Rep. William Timmons (R-SC) — Oversight Committee; JAG Officer; Captain in SC Air National Guard
LISTEN: Laslo & Timmons
Ask a Pol asks:
Do you think changing the leadership will make the House Intel Committee look more into the UAP issue?
Key Timmons:
“It's becoming increasingly front and center, so I think Intel‘s gonna have to get involved. I think most of the members on the Committee have been generally unimpressed with the responses that we've gotten,” Rep. William Timmons exclusively tells Ask a Pol. “I think the Intelligence Committee will start looking into it more, because how do you not? I mean, you know, the increased frequency and degree of sightings has created a lot of buzz.”

Caught our ear:
“[Trump] said that we know, that we're just not telling,” Timmons tells us.
Interesting. So you expect we might see a little…?
“We’ll see...”
Below find a rough transcript of Ask a Pol’s exclusive interview with Rep. William Timmons (R-SC), slightly edited for clarity.
TRANSCRIPT: Rep. William Timmons
SCENE: Ahead of Thursday’s lone vote series, Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo was prowling the underground tunnel between the US Capitol and House Office Buildings when he ran into Rep. Timmons (a SC Air National Guardsman who always walks up tight back stairwells on his way to vote on the House floor).

Matt Laslo: “How you doing?”
William Timmons: “Great, how are you doing?”
ML: “Did you hear this news about [fmr. House Intel Chair Mike] Turner?”
WT: “Yeah.”
ML: “That came out of nowhere. That surprised me. That surprise you?”

WT: “You know, I think so. But, I mean, you know, I think — I don't even wanna comment...”
ML: “Yeah, right?”
WT: "I…(inaudible).”
ML: “Do you have any idea who's gonna — do you have any idea who's gonna replace him?”
WT: “I think they already announced [Rep. Rick] Crawford*.”

Born on Florida’s Homestead Air Force Base in 1966
Army veteran
Owner of Agricultural News Service
Former TV broadcaster and rodeo announcer

ML: “Do you think that — I mean, cause Oversight’s been more active on the UAP issue, but Intel, [Ranking Dem Jim] Himes and Turner, told me they just never even touched it, even though the Senate Intel has been active on it with [fmr. Vice-chair Marco] Rubio and [current Vice-chair Mark] Warner — do you think this can kinda change the tone on that? That Intel might start looking into it?”
Timmons bumps into someone he knows while traversing the underground corridors of the Capitol.
Woman: “Hey, William.”
WT: “I'm wearing a tie.”
Woman: “I’m glad to hear that.”
ML: “It’s the little things.”
WT: “So one, I think it's becoming increasingly front and center, so I think Intel‘s gonna have to get involved. I mean, you know, I think most of the members on the Committee have been generally unimpressed with the response — the responses that we've gotten…”
ML: “Yeah? Which is where it could helpful to have Intel do it too.”
WT: “Yeah. So, I mean, you know, I do think that's something that will happen. I think the Intelligence Committee will start looking into it more, because how do you not? I mean, you know, the increased frequency and degree of sightings has created a lot of buzz.”
ML: “Yeah?”
WT: “So we need to look into it more and get the American people answers. But I also think that Trump is going to be informing the public more than the Biden administration.”
ML: “Yeah?”
WT: “I mean, [Trump] said that we know, that we're just not telling, so…”
ML: “Interesting. So you expect we might see a little…?”
WT: “We’ll see…”
ML: “I know, right?”
Timmons keeps walking up the stairs so he can vote on the House floor, while Laslo heads back to the basement tunnel.
ML: “Have a good one.”
WT: “Yup.”
