“You know I can't talk about something like that, come on,” Sen. Jim Risch exclusively tells Ask a Pol

But hey, Wall Street Journal finally caught up with me and they started reporting on it!

ICYMI — Ask a Pol was covering Langley in the spring…

“Well, then go interview the Wall Street Journal,” Risch said. “Maybe they have some information I don't have.”

Oh, no, no, no — no, Wall Street Journal needs to interview Ask a Pol on this stuff…

TRANSCRIPT: Sen. Jim Risch

SCENE: Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo catches Sen. Risch walking through the US Capitol alone, so he does a 180 before snagging a quick, if telling, interview.

Matt Laslo: “Hey. How are you, Sen. Risch?”

Jim Risch: “Hey.”

ML: “I was curious, I know — I don't think you were there — but they had classified UAP briefing about the incursions over Langley yesterday.”

JR: “You know I can't talk about something like that, come on.”

ML: “But hey, Wall Street Journal finally caught up with me and they started reporting on it!”

JR: “Well, then go interview the Wall Street Journal and maybe they have some information I don't have.”

ML: “Oh, no, no, no. No, Wall Street Journal needs to interview me on this stuff.”

Risch laughs; Laslo doesn’t.

JR: “I see, yeah.”

ML: “But, no, I just talked to Sen. Kaine…”

JR: “Yeah?”

ML: “…he's around Langley [AFB] where a 17-day shutdown, that stuff is — that’s a suburban area. Like, should the American people be worried? Or are you convinced now?”

ICYMI — Risch not talking, but we got Kaine to (a tad…)

JR: “I don't want to do an interview on this stuff.”

ML: “Fair.”

JR: “I appreciate that.”

JR: “It's not my lane, ya know.”

ML: “Yeah, yeah, yeah. Preciate ya.”
