TRANSCRIPT: Sen. Mike Rounds
SCENE: Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo approaches Sen. Mike Rounds as the senator and his aides are entering the US Capitol via an underground tunnel. They proceed to chat until Rounds and his mini-entourage hop an elevator up to the Senate floor, so he can vote…on another nomination.
Matt Laslo: “Hey, how are you?”
Mike Rounds: “You look like trouble today!”
Laslo smiles.
ML: “I’m always trouble.”
Rounds smiles.
ML: “Have you talked with anyone in the administration about your UP — your UAPDA?”
MR: “My what? My U…?”
ML: “UAPDA — your disclosure act with [Senate Minority Leader Chuck] Schumer.”
MR: “Oh, that one! No.”
ML: “Do you think that they’re going to be handling, um…”
MR: “Well…”
ML: “…because, like, he [President Trump] had the Executive Order on JFK.”
MR: “Yeah.”
ML: “Yeah?”

Elevator bell dings.
MR: “Yes.”
ML: “Yeah?”
MR: “At least I intend to.”
ML: “I’ll be watching.”
MR: “Alright.”
The senator enters the elevator.
ML: “Thank you!”
