UFO players on Capitol Hill in the 119th Congress
Rough list of UAP who's who in Washington — who'd we miss? (4-3-2026)
WASHINGTON — Ask a Pol UAP’s rough list of UFO players at the US Capitol in the 119th Congress.
UAP Caucus leaders:
- Secrets Task Force Chair Anna Paulina Luna (conduit to DNI Tulsi Gabbard (RIP, we hear...); busy on UFO cable circuit of late and is now penning official letters demanding specific classified UFO videos be released publicly)
- Eric Burlison (constantly working topic behind-the-scenes; hired David Grusch on staff)
- (quasi-defunct-)UAP Caucus Co-chair Tim Burchett (has felt neutered and deflated on topic since GOP leaders passed him up and gave Secrets gavel to Luna; though tells me he pushed the issue with President Trump)
US House of Representatives:
- Andre Carson (one to watch cause he’s 2nd most senior Democrat on HPSCI, so will likely be Intel Chair one of these years; the former hip-hop artist and Indiana DHS official chaired the first public UFO hearing in 50 years the year before Grusch testified)
- Jared Moskowitz (still on UAP Caucus but less vocal on UAP Caucus since leaving Oversight Committee for Judiciary)
- Andy Ogles (he’s cued in, but mostly following Luna and Burlison’s lead)
- Nick Begich (freshman locked in tight reelection back in Alaska, but if he squeaks out a sophomore term in Washington, keep an eye on him)
- Nancy Mace (though she’s gotten quite since running for Governor...)
- Ralph Norman (also running for Gov of SC; he cares about issue, but will do whatever Luna and UAP Caucus tell him to do)
- Robert Garcia (sponsor of bipartisan whistleblower protection bill, though he’s been distracted with TV bookings since being named Ranking Member on full Oversight Committee)
Who’d we miss? Let us know!
US Senators:
- Mike Rounds (fmr. Governor, so quiet, smooth behind-the-scenes operator)
- Chuckie Schumer (meh; can’t tell if he’s pushing UAPDA because he promised fmr. Majority Leader Harry Reid he would, but he’s never flexed his full leadership might on topic...that I know of)
- Kirsten Gillibrand (I feel the eye rolls from here and raise you the public Senate UFO hearing she chaired in 2024...)
- Adam Schiff (freshman Senator now, so not on Armed Services or Intel — YET, he’s a Dem “star” and in safe, expensive must-win seat, so he’s gonna get a national security assignment sooner than later)
Eyes peeled*
*lawmakers or their aides who care about UFO but watch topic from distance
- Sen. Cory Booker (“my staff is obsessed with [UFO]!” he told me in 2023; got engaged during NJ drone incursions; along with Sen. Andy Kim who doesn’t seem too UFO curious himself)
- Sen. John Fetterman (still a freshman and not on relevant committees, and likely never will be cause he’s crossed progressive left on Israel v. Gaza)
- Sen. John Boozman (”I think it’s kinda neat that [UAP Caucus] pushing it,” he told me)
- Senate Intel Vice Chair Mark Warner (skeptical-to-dubious of UFO topic, but his staff vetted Grusch -- still classified -- and he’s been pressing Pentagon for answers since Langley AFB was shuttered by incursions for 17 days back in 2023)
- Sen. Tim Kaine (topic on radar only in regards to Langley AFB incursions)
- President of US Senate, Vice President JD Vance (thinks aliens are demons or something...)
UAP curious*
*esp. when military industrial contracting complex thrown in UFO mix
- AOC (attended classified SCIF briefings post-Grusch testimony)
- House Judiciary Ranking Member Jamie Raskin (told me Grusch was credible and he had more questions for him in classified setting after he testified)
- House Oversight Chair James Comer (he’s got an eye on Luna and Secrets Task Force, but basically seems to be entertained by subject so is more a voyeur than anything else; but is lead Republican sponsor of bipartisan whistleblower protection bill)
- Rep. Glenn Grothman (Comer tapped him to chair Grusch hearing, which pissed Luna and Burchett off; seems like professional blocker, though tells me he wants disclosure)
(closeted) Opposition:
- Sen. Mark Kelly (fmr. astronaut who’s likely the loudest and most dismissive voice of opposition to all things UFO in Congress, though has pressured Pentagon on unidentified flying “drones” that interfere with Arizona’s Luke Air Force Base, Barry Goldwater Range)
- Four Corners: Senate, House Armed Service Committee Chairs & Ranking Members (one of whom seems to annually gut the UAP Disclosure Act when the NDAA’s negotiated behind-closed-doors; according to Sen. Rounds, the opposition comes form the House, so either HASC Chair Mike Rogers or Ranking Member Adam Smith who in all seriousness told me, “I don’t know what [UAP] means” — though opposition could be quietly coming from heads of House or Senate Intel Committees…)
- House Speaker Mike Johnson (or Oversight Chair Comer or an uber-empowered aide…) seems to have blocked the UAP Caucus from investigating classified SAPs (Special Access Programs)
