Who?
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) — Member, Senate Intelligence & Armed Services Committees / Chair, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC)
LISTEN: Laslo & Gillibrand
Ask a Pol asks:
Do you know what’s up with the UAPDA — UAP Disclosure Act — in this year’s NDAA or National Defense Authorization Act?
Key Gillibrand:
“No, I have no intel on that,” Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand exclusively tells Ask a Pol UAP. “I need to get more info.”
It seems like no one does (once again)…

Caught our ear:
“AARO [All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office] is very much a very structural, important organization that’s doing the hard science and the other is a disclosure bill, so if they’re trying to undermine the disclosure we need to know why,” Gillibrand tells us.
Below find a rough transcript of Ask a Pol’s exclusive interview with Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), slightly edited for clarity.
TRANSCRIPT: Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (10-3-2025)
SCENE: After voting, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand’s on the phone as she exits the US Capitol’s Senate Carriage Entrance — an entrance that once serviced senator’s horses and buggies.
Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo waits in the wings, and then allows a Washington Examiner reporter to pop a question off Gillibrand before he cuts off a WSJ reporter and snags this exclusive with the junior Senator from New York…
Matt Laslo: “Do you know what’s up with the UAPDA [ UAP Disclosure Act] in this year’s NDAA [National Defense Authorization Act]?”
Kirsten Gillibrand: “No, I have no intel on that.”
ML: “Yeah?”
KG: “And I need to get more info.”
ML: “Yeah? It seems like no one does.”
KG: “No?”
ML: “[Sen. Mike] Rounds says it’s maybe the House that’s getting it.”
ICYMI — Ask a Pol’s latest with Senator Rounds
KG: “I don’t understand, so I’m going to look into it.”
ML: “It’s Schumer’s bill — like, who can gut [Senate Minority Leader Chuck] Schumer’s bill without your knowing?”
KG: “Well, his bill — I mean, AARO [All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office] is very much a very structural, important organization that’s doing the hard science. And the other is a disclosure bill, so if they’re trying to undermine the disclosure we need to know why.”
ML: “Yeah?”
Gillibrand nods before engaging the WSJ reporter — who was not asking about UAP... — waiting in the wings.
ML: “Preciate ya.”
KG: “Ahuh.”
