SCENE: Rep. Nancy Mace is heading to the House floor via an underground tunnel to cast her last vote of the week Thursday morning when Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo quickly catches up with her on Rep. Anna Paulina Luna’s new Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets.
Matt Laslo: “How are you, ma’am?”
Nancy Mace: “Good.”
ML: “Are you on the new Secrets Task Force?”
NM: “What?”
Mace looks up from phone.
NM: “Luna’s?”
ML: “Yeah.”
NM: “Yeah.”
ML: “What do you guys hope to do with that?”
NM: “Ask the chairwoman.”
They laugh.
