Ask a Pol asks:

One more question from an Ask a Pol UAP subscriber — any update on the 15 minutes with President Donald Trump you told Ross Coulthart you were requesting?

Key Burchett:

“Not yet. I’ve asked for it,” Rep. Tim Burchett exclusively tells Ask a Pol UAP.

You haven’t?

“No. I’m meeting with Marco Rubio next week,” Burchett says. “I’m kind of moving up the chain a little bit.”

Are you going to talk to Rubio about UAP?

“A little bit, yeah,” Burchett says.

“Wait, one more question from one of my subscribers…”*

— Ask a Pol subscriber asked question Thursday, answered Friday —

Caught our ear (per another public UAP hearing):

“My suggestion would be, let’s get some new information if we’re really going to do that,” Burchett says when asked about a second public UAP hearing in the 119th Congress.

TRANSCRIPT: Rep. Tim Burchett (12-12-2025)

SCENE: After waiting in the wings as Rep. Tim Burchett answered questions on an array of topics — from Epstein to Obamacare — on the steps of the US Capitol, Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo proceeds to join the Congressman as he walks to his office across the street.

Matt Laslo: “UAP — a birdie is telling me that you guys are scheduling a second public UAP hearing?”

ICYMI — another Ask a Pol scoop this week

Rep. Tim Burchett: “It’d be our third one if we did it.”

Laslo: “Well, second this Congress. You haven’t talked to [Rep. Eric] Burlison or [Secrets Task Force Chair Anna Paulina] Luna about that?”

Burchett: “Yeah, we talk about it all the time. I just, you know, my suggestion would be, let’s get some new information if we’re really going to do that.”

Laslo: “Yeah? Do you think…”

A sedan wizzes feet away from Burchett, his aide and Laslo as they’re crossing the street.

Burchett: “Hey!”

Laslo laughs as the Congressman sorta lunges at the quickly moving car (which had the right-of-way).

Burchett: “Look at that.”

A Capitol Police officer with a big black shotgun draped across his neck steps into the road to stop other cars with the right-of-way.

Officer: “The light went back, brother.”

Burchett: “That’s alright. We’re good.”

Officer: “Here, I’ll fix it up.”

During House votes Capitol Police usually override the stoplights to let lawmakers safely return to their offices across the street.

Burchett: “You’re good. I ain’t worried about it. You got slugs in that thing, man.”

Officer laughs.

Burchett: “You ain’t got no birdshot. You’re gonna…”

The Congressman makes sound of gun firing.

Burchett: “…put that thing into an engine block. I’m digging that.”

Laslo: “Why not — have you had talks…?”

Burchett: “Here, hold on a second.”

Burchett stops to click a photo of the officer’s shotgun.

Burchett: “I don’t want to see your face. I just wanna get a few of this.”

Officer: “Okay.”

Lalso compliments the gun in his native Midwestern tongue…

Laslo: “Woo!”

Officer: “It’s all slugs.”

Car stuck in mini-traffic jam caused by Burchett, Laslo and company honks.

Laslo: “Nice.”

Officer: “I don’t carry no buckshots.”

Burchett: “Merry Christmas.”

Laslo: “So, any talk about having a hearing on the underwater stuff?”

Burchett: “No, I think I’m the only one that’s really talking about that. I just think…”

Burchett sees a Congressman on curb waiting for a ride to the airport.

Burchett: “Hey brother, have a happy Hanukkah!”

…Congressman turns, laughs, corrects Burchet…

Congressman II: “Family celebrates Christmas, man.”

Burchett: “Do what?“

Congressman II: “Keep telling you…they celebrate Christmas.”

Burchett: “I thought you were Jewish?”

Congressman II: “No, it’s just I have a Jew sense of humor.”

Someone — not Laslo — laughs.

Burchett: “Oh, okay.”

Laslo: “But so yeah — you haven’t had talks about witnesses or whatever?”

Burchett: “No, not any specifics. I’ve been talking about that…”

Laslo: “Wait!”

Burchett passes a Members Only sign outside an entrance to one of the House Office Buildings.

Burchett: “I’ve been…”

Laslo: “One more question from one of my subscribers.”

Burchett keeps walking; so does Laslo…

Laslo: “Did you…?”

Burchett waves Laslo inside — bypassing a security checkpoint, which makes Laslo nervous…cause technically not allowed — and out of the winter wind.

Laslo: “Have you had your 15 minutes with President Trump?”

Burchett: “Not yet. I’ve asked for it.”

ICYMI — …as Burchett told Ross Coulthart…

Laslo: “You haven’t?”

Burchett: “No. I’m meeting with Marco Rubio next week, but I’m kind of moving up the chain a little bit.”

Laslo: “Are you going to talk to Rubio about UAP?”

Laslo’s alarm goes off, alerting him to head to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ weekly press conference at 11am (before Laslo had an annual board meeting of the Radio-TV Correspondents Association to attend at noon).

Burchett: “A little bit, yeah.”

Laslo: “Yeah?”

Burchett: “Yeah.”

Laslo: “Interesting.”

Burchett: “Yeah. We’ll see what he says.”

Burchett walks past security on way back to his office.

Laslo: “Cool.”

Laslo repeats what Burchett said at a distance into his mic.

Laslo: “‘See what he says’ — have a good one!”

Laslo heads back to Capitol, stopping to talk shotguns with Capitol Police officer…

Tis the season, they say…
