Episode in the RAW:
Many forget (like me, initially), the chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Sen. Jack Reed (D-RI), is an ex officio member of the Senate Intelligence Committee.*
On July 19, I asked Chair Reed if he had looked into UFO whistleblower David Grusch.
“No, I have not,” Reed replies.
We then briefly — but tellingly — discuss Chinese spy balloons and UAPs, as Reed invites me on his senator’s only elevator, which takes us to the 3rd floor before I bellhop him where he needs to be, on the 2nd floor so he can vote on the Senate floor.
*Armed Services ranking member, in this case Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS), is also an ex officio member of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

I would appreciate, when it is feasible, a little more detail -
about the committee structure, as you began to do in the Wicker episode. I for one do not understand any of it in advance.
Just little bread crumbs about who these folks are. What their lives are like. What their background is. Their prospects. Their character in your eyes.
Tiny little hints. Scatter them freely.
