Who?
Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH)
LISTEN: Laslo & Moreno
Ask a Pol asked:
Did you hear about Wright-Patterson Air Force Base being closed down last year because of drone swarms?
Key Moreno:
“Oh, last year? Yes,” Sen. Bernie Moreno exclusively tells Ask a Pol UAPs. “Yeah. That happened last year. Yes.”
Are you still looking into that?
“No. We need to have drone legislation,” Moreno says. “Right now, the federal government considers a drone the same as a 747.”
ICYMI — We were asking Moreno about John Greenewald’s recent FOIA’s (Freedom of Information Act)

Caught our ear:
“We need to have drone legislation that's common sense,” Moreno tells us.
Below find a rough transcript of Ask a Pol’s exclusive interview with Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH), slightly edited for clarity.
TRANSCRIPT: Sen. Bernie Moreno (7-16-2025)
SCENE: Sen. Bernie Moreno’s rushing through the US Capitol’s basement on the way to a vote when Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo catches him before he enters a Senators Only elevator.
Matt Laslo: “Hey, how are you, sir?”
Bernie Moreno: “Good. What's going on?”
ML: “I'm not sure if you saw this…”
An aide tells the senator something.
BM: “Hold on one second.”
Moreno turns back to Laslo.
BM: “Alright, sorry. Go ahead.”
ML: “Someone just FOIA-ed drone swarms over Wright-Patterson.”
BM: “Which one?”
ML: “Wright-Patterson Air Force Base had to be closed down because of drone swarms last year.”
BM: “Oh, last year? Yes.”
ML: “Did you hear about that?”
BM: “Yeah. That happened last year. Yes.”
ML: “What do you — are you still looking into that?”
BM: “No. We need to have, we need to have drone legislation. As you know, right now, the federal government considers a drone the same as a 747.”
ML: “Yeah?”
BM: “So we need to have drone legislation that's common sense.”
ML: “Have you talked to the general…?”
Laslo’s cut off by a colleague.

Reporter: “On Jerome Powell, what are your thoughts? There's talks about the president might fire Chairman Powell.”
BM: “Don't tease me like that and make my day. Well, the guy’s completely inept. He lied before Congress. Uh, just, you know, the cost overruns on that ridiculous building is the equivalent of what it cost to build city center. So he's the most inept, most idiotic fed chairman ever. So he lied. The cost overruns and mismanagement of the Fed — they’re losing of hundreds of billions of dollars. In the private sector he would have been thrown out a long time ago.”
Reporter: “So do you think the president has the authority to fire Mr. Powell?”
BM: “Unquestionably yeah. If you look at the, uh, in the efficiency language in that decision, the Supreme Court decision, this guy is completely, uh, that decision was written for Jerome Powell to give the president exactly that authority. Jerome Powell absolutely needs to go. He’s costing this country, hundreds of billions of dollars. He's just completely inept.”
Reporter: “Would you be able to lose three hundred billion dollars?”
BM: “Okay.”
Moreno and aide hop elevator.
