Ask a Pol asks:

A while ago you helped secure millions of dollars for a new hangar — a “complex that will become the home of nine of the fourteen test aircraft that will define jet fighter technology for generations,” according to Hoyer’s 2006 release — at Marylands’s Pax [Patuxent] River Naval Air Station for Lockheed Martin and Bigelow Aerospace (RIP 2020), do you remember why that was important?

Key Hoyer:

“It’s a private — public partner,” Hoyer said. correcting himself. “Public partner. But I don’t remember the specifics.”

Seriously, we ask Congress your questions…

Someone online wanted me to ask you about it, they said it might have to do with a new technology?

“Let me find out about it,” Hoyer said. “It may well be. Let me check on it, though.”

What should we ask Congress about next?

Let us know!

Caught our ear:

Are you familiar with NHI or non-human intelligence?

“No. I’m not,” Hoyer told Ask a Pol UAP. “I’m sort of a human intelligence person.”

TRANSCRIPT: Laslo & Hoyer (10-16-2025)

SCENE: After House Democrats gathered for a rally-presser-photo-op on the Capitol steps Wednesday, Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo seeks out the former House Majority Leader and snags this interview.

Laslo starts asking about NHI as the Leader’s trying to enter the Capitol, so they proceed to accidentally clog the entrance as other Democrats are entering the Capitol by a buzzing and beeping Capitol Police security checkpoint.

Matt Laslo: “Do you — you might not remember this — but do you remember the $10 million for a new hangar that you helped get at Pax [River Naval Air Station] do you remember why that was important? That new hangar, I think, was for Lockheed Martin…?”

Steny Hoyer: “Well, it’s a private — public partner.”

ML: “Yeah?”

SH: “Public partner. Um, but I don’t remember the specifics. How long did we — did we did we get that in this bill?”

ML: “It — someone online wanted me to ask you about it. They think…”

Rep. Maxine Waters: “Excuse me!”

Congresswoman Waters gruffly breezes past Laslo, letting him know he’s in her way, before she sees he’s interviewing the former Majority Leader...

Waters: “How you doing?”

ML: “How are you, ma’am?”

Laslo then realizes Waters wasn’t talking to him…

ML: “They said it might have to do with a new…”

SH: “Let me find out about it.”

ML: “Yeah?”

SH: “Give me your card, so I can l remember.”

ML: “They said it might have to do with, like, a new technology.”

Laslo keeps mic steady with right hand as he fishes for his bill fold and business cards with the other.

SH: “Well, we got a lot of…”

ML: “Are you aware of, like, NHI?”

SH: “Yeah, it may well be. Let me — let me check on it, though.”

ML: “Are you familiar with that term NHI? Non-human intelligence?”

SH: “No. I’m not.”

ML: “No?”

SH: “I’m sort of a human intelligence person.”

Laslo laughs.

ML: “Yeah, right?”

Hoyer laughs.

ML: “Well, I’ll look for that from your office.”

SH: “Yeah, I’ll have them give you a call.”

ML: “Have a good one, sir. Good to see you.”
