You have some UAP language in this year’s national Defense Authorization Act — or NDAA?
Key Gillibrand:
“Working on legislation with [Senate Intelligence Committee] Chairman [Tom] Cotton on giving more authority to take them down when they're over military bases and national security sites,” Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand exclusively tells Ask a Pol UAP.

Caught our ear:
What are you hoping for from your UAP language in this year’s NDAA?
“More money and more focus and more attention,” Gillibrand tells us.
Below find a rough transcript of Ask a Pol’s exclusive interview with Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), slightly edited for clarity.
TRANSCRIPT: Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (7-30-2025)
SCENE: Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo always has the Senate elevator stop at the first floor of the US Capitol — his “Gillibrand check” (sorry to everyone who’s had to stop at each floor while riding with Laslo…) — though he’s still surprised when the door opens and he sees Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand entering the Capitol…
ICYMI — Last we checked Cotton didn’t know Grusch…
Matt Laslo: “How are you, ma’am?”
Kirsten Gillibrand: “Hi, how are you?”
ML: “Livin’ the dream.“
ML: “So I saw you had some UAP language…?”
KG: “What?”
ML: “You had some UAP language in the NDAA this year?”
KG: “Yeah, definitely do.”
ML: “What do you expect to see on that?”
KG: “More money and more focus and more attention. I also am working on legislation with Chairman Cotton on giving more authority to take them down when they're over military bases and national security sites.”
ML: “Interesting. So that won't be in this NDAA, but…?”
KG: “The problem was it had multiple committees of jurisdiction. So that’s why we couldn’t do it.”
ML: “Yeah? Thank you ma’am.”
Gillibrand heads to Senate floor as Laslo speaks last thing she said into his mic.
ML: “‘So that’s why we couldn’t do it.’”
