Issuing a security clearance and conducting the background investigation required for a clearance are two separate things, often times conducted by separate agencies. The FBI can conduct an investigation, the Office of Personnel Management used to do them, the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) can do them, State Dept as well and I think the CIA too. DCSA does most of them. But who is actually responsible for issuing the clearance after an investigation has been completed for a Congressional aide I have no idea.
Yeah, I thought it would go to the House Intel Committee for approval. Mace said before that anyone with clearance has to be approved by Intel Committee before they can testify at a hearing. But maybe it went to the Pentagon because thats where his last clearance was from?
I’m somewhat out of the loop now, so this may be old news to some, but did Monheim get to complete his ICIG investigation of Grusch’s allegations before all the IGs were canned? If not, then I assume the investigation is kaput.
Months ago I heard Tim McMillan of The Debrief on a podcast saying that he was working on a big article about the windup of Monheim’s investigation of Grusch’s claims, but as far as I know that article never came out. McMillan seemed to imply that he was waiting for the official report to be issued. 🤷♂️
Great work Laslo! You are the 1st to break Burlison filed for Grusch's full clearance to the Pentagon.
Does it seem weird to you that it goes to the Pemtagon? Like, what the f*k does the FBI do!?!

Good work. He gave up quite a bit. It will be fun to see how the DOD words their denial of Grusch's clearance.
Right!? Y’all keep prepping me with the right questions and we got this… 🔥 (that’s lighting a fire 🔥 under their asses…)
